The Spirit
of Araura

Araura was born from a love of small, quiet moments—sunlight on stone, the curve of a leaf, the weight of a favorite piece of jewelry resting against the skin. Each piece is sculpted by hand, one at a time, as a way to honor these everyday rituals.

Slow-crafted adornments, grounded in nature

There is no mass production here. Every earring, necklace, pendant, candle, sun catcher, and aroma stone is shaped with intention, so you can feel grounded, held, and completely yourself when you wear or live with it.

The Hands Behind Araura

Araura is a one-woman studio dedicated to slow, tactile creation. Pieces begin as an idea sparked by texture—sand, rock, bark, light—and are gently refined by hand over hours, sometimes days. Imperfections are celebrated, not hidden, because they tell the story of the making.

From resin and clay to stone and crystal, every material is chosen for how it feels, not just how it looks. Small-batch pours, hand-shaping, and careful finishing keep each piece unique. No two earrings, necklaces, pendants, candles, sun catchers, or aroma stones are exactly the same—and that’s the point.

Meet the Maker —
Santie Joubert

Araura was born from my deep love for Mother Nature and the landscape I am lucky enough to call home. I live in Tzaneen, in the Limpopo province of South Africa, a place of lush valleys, misty mountains and endless shades of green that border the wild beauty of the Kruger National Park.

The shapes, textures and light of this region find their way into every piece I create, from the curve of a leaf to the glint of sun on stone, turning my everyday surroundings into quiet, wearable altars to the land I love.

Araura is lovingly crafted by a single maker who designs, pours, sands, strings, and finishes every piece by hand. This is not a factory line—it’s a gentle, meditative process that lets each piece become what it wants to be.

A Studio Rooted in Ritual

The studio is small, sunlit, and filled with stones, tools, and half-finished ideas. Candles cure next to trays of earrings, pendants hang beside sun catchers and aroma stones. It’s a space built for slowness, where jewelry and home pieces are created to be lived with, loved, and passed on.
